Quick Wins

  • Assessment of water situation through a feasibility study
  • Rain Water harvesting awareness creation, funding for storage facilities through CDF and other funders and make it mandatory for all building plans to have a rain harvesting plan
  • Establishment of water kiosks at trading centres where water is scarce.
  • Encouragement on usage of shallow wells.
  • Operationalise all non operational bore holes
  • Mapping of all boreholes-to prioritize on water needs.
  • Consensus building with private/self help water projects and Kikuyu water co. Limited.
  • Re-afforestation and discouraging eucalyptus at wetlands..
  • Sanitation- Exhauster of Kikuyu water to be used by building owners.
